Bergman's remailer keys are going to auto-update soon. I may take this
opportunity to manually intervene and change my DSS PGP key from the
default 1024-bit to a manually generated 2048-bit key. I would create
it via the GPG command line, and then copy/paste it into pgpkey.txt
and secring.pgp.

Has this been tried before? Is it feasible? Will it cause problems for
users?

I don't see any other remailer with a DSS key that is >1024bits. I
know that Kroken has "colored outside the lines" in this regard. He
has a 4096-bit RSA PGP key. But his DSS PGP key remains legacy 1024-bit.
