You can. echolot handles bounces by itself ;)

That should have worked unless you deleted the address later on. You can 
check with "pingd summary" and watch the log. It should read something like 
this:
[NOTICE]   mixmaster at mail.hoi-polloi.org [...] Fetch/Ping/Show: 000

The address is listed in the remailer-conf reply of enough remailers for 
echolot to add it automatically (option "reliable_auto_add_min")

It should stop sending daily requests after a few days 
("addresses_default_ttl") and mark it as dead some weeks later 
("check_resurrection_ttl").
