After a long circuitous route, I have finally got Procmail working and passing email to the Mixmaster daemon. I had to go with a system-wide /etc/procmailrc but it seems to work fine according the log above until it reaches the last step.

I can successfully run

  sudo /usr/bin/mixmaster -RM < testmessage

but email through the procmail recipe generates this error.

Is this an ownership/permissions problem?
