Yes, banana has been used as an exit point for fake bomb threats for
about 9 months now.  I'm aware that other exit operators have
experienced problems because of these messages and at least one has
closed down as a direct result.

I've pondered with taking action against the originator of these
messages but the price is too high.  If operators collaborated to
expose one criminal, the network could never be trusted again: Users
would always suspect that their anonymity was compromised, or at least
potentially could be.

Not sure what the answer to this issue is, but breaking the anonymity of
the network along with its reputation is probably not it.
