All,

I want to run a pinger (echolot 2.1.8). My server uses qmail and
vpopmail. All my domains are virtualdomains, no local domains. Pingd
starts successfully, it adds the four addresses as expected and sends
the appropriate emails out. A review of my qmail-send logs and a check
of the appropriate Maildir under ~vpopmail shows the messages being
received. However, I don't see any change to mlist2.html. I believe
this is due to the pinger user not being able to access the Maildir
directory. I attempted to start the pingd process as root to verify
this idea, but pingd doesn't allow itself to be run as root. Can
someone please point me in the right direction to resolving this issue?

Thanks,
Patrick
