Yes, I know first hand about being shut down because of complaints
against my remailer. Take 5 seconds and do a little research on Bird. I
first ran it back in the late 90's. I believe it was before you started
eelbash. I was shut down because of multiple complaints to my ISP
because of a certain 'Bible Spammer'. At the time I was running an exit
remailer.

I was also one of your only supporters when this crap about you started.
At the time many remailers were trying to figure out how to filter out
the junk that had brought many remailers down.

These complaints are a fact of life for a remailer. I learned to live
with it and so has most everyone else. Even if we 'showed our
disapproval, it would not change the fact that many people seem to hate
you. Some people don't care anyway, they just try to shut remailers down
because they have nothing better to do. Others do it because of abuse
they receive through the remailers. It's a fact of life.

This little comment here has made the bad blood between some people and
yourself a little easier to understand. I was trying to be reasonable
with you and explain why I am silent on the matter. I do have some
experience with this as I said earlier. It is you that should think
about it for 5 seconds and realize that nothing we may do will change
the fact that you received that complaint and nothing we will do can
change the fact that your ISP may terminate your account. Nothing will
stop people from trying to shut down remailers. The only thing we can do
is run the remailer in a way that we can deal with any complaints that
come our way.

I will not block you because I believe this should be a personal choice
of a remailer user, not myself. Even if you are doing some of the things
you are accused of, it matters not if people use the network correctly.
And who is to say that any of us are trustworthy.

I will, however, not converse with you again.

As a side note:

I was a little apprehensive about starting a remailer at all seeing how
the newsgroup has degenerated into little more than a mud slinging
quagmire. Now with what was posted about Zax, I am considering shutting
down Bird until this clears up. I don't have the time or desire to deal
with this mud slinging crap.

The 'Remailer Anti Abuse Association' (Whatever:/) are perpetuating the
very thing they claim to be trying to stop. The newsgroup seems to be
full of nothing but trouble makers. This is usually the case because the
honest users are usually silent.
